What is a Head Spa?

Inspired by traditional Japanese head spas, The Head Spa at Runway Salon offers scalp & hair treatments similar to a facial. The multi-step process is customized to each client to address their unique needs. We start with a look at your hair and scalp with a microscopic camera to determine your treatment. The head spa is performed on a traditional Japanese shampoo bed complete with a state of the art micro-mist tent for penetration of therapeutic treatments into the hair follicle, along with the hugely popular waterfall feature for maximum luxury and relaxation. This holistic approach to enhancing your scalp and hair health uses personalized hair topicals, deep tissue scalp massage, aromatherapy and other relaxation methods. Each head spa is finished with a hot cup of tea and a hands-free blow dry, as well as a final look in the camera to see the before & after of your scalp.

    Our signature head spa experience is a heavenly journey, customized exclusively for your scalp and hair requirements. This premium treatment encompasses the entire spectrum of an authentic Japanese Head Spa, featuring the opulence of Kerastase products. After a comprehensive consultation and meticulous scalp analysis, indulge in a pre-massage with the Genesis Deep Treatment Care set. This indulgence begins with a double cleanse, followed by a deeply hydrating mask inside a steam tent, concluding with the application of the Serum Fortifiant, leaving your hair and scalp feeling velvety and well-conditioned. The outcome is an enhanced level of hair nourishment and protection, resulting in a remarkable 97% reduction in hair fall due to breakage.

    This head spa is designed for for those dealing with an over production of sebum. We perform a multi step process using the Kerastase Specifique Oily Hair Set. The double cleanse is designed to reduce excess oil and odors as well as add volume. This is followed by a lightweight gel-masque that instantly rebalances the hair’s hydration leaving it shiny and healthy. Then we finish with the advanced scalp & hair serum that strengthens hair and soothes the scalp.

    This head spa is designed for those dealing with a dry, flaky and sensitive scalp that is prone to dandruff. We perform a 4 step process of a double shampoo cleanse, scalp exfoliation, hair masque and finish with scalp serum using Kerastase Symbiose Anti-Dandruff Cellular -This product line is formulated specifically to eliminate symptoms of dandruff with salicylic acid to reduce scalp flaking and pyrithione zinc to calm the scalp.

  • Hair Loss Head Spa

    This head spa is designed for those dealing with thinning hair, alopecia, postpartum, stress, seasonal rapid loss, psoriasis and covid hair loss.
